Conformity vs. Simplicity

“Our culture demands conformity and our souls too willingly submit to the pursuit of possessions … seeking life, happiness, and meaning in all the wrong places.” – Joshua Becker

Once upon a time, life was simple.

Then as human beings evolved and the culture and social influences took over, simplicity was swapped by conformity.

Most people submit to the fact that you are the product of your possessions. If you own more valuable stuff, then you are a person of high value.

When we submit to social conformity, we start seeking happiness and fulfillment in owning more, instead of enjoying more. We choose stuffing our lives over maximizing our experiences.

The good news is that simplicity is bouncing back.

And I believe in this round simplicity will knockout conformity once and for all.

You won’t accept the meaningless social judgment of who you are or what you are worth. You won’t be classified by what you own anymore.

It’s time to have wings and fly high in the sky.

It’s time to re-write the story of your life.

It’s time to live a simple, yet notable story – a story that’s worth telling, listening to and living.

Go back to the basics. Eliminate all the unnecessary from your life. And begin a new chapter where you own what you enjoy and enjoy what you own. You won’t accept social conformity anymore. It’s time for the world to follow your pursuit of simplicity.

Simplify and stand out like the Pyramids.

Simplify and turn your life into a unique inspiring masterpiece like the Isle of Lamu, a lost paradise in the Indian Ocean.

Simplify and enjoy inner peace and mental clarity like the water of the northwestern Montana, USA – so transparent that it looks like a shallow lake.

Simplify and experience your life from a whole new angle, like watching sunset from inside a wave.

Simplicity is the path to living a notable story. Conformity is obsolete. Now, it is time to live your life on your own terms and choose what to keep and what to get rid of. It’s your call, not anybody else’s.

Now is THE perfect time to simplify and grow rich!

I also believe that we “over think” almost everything in our lives. I have always said, “Don’t complicate that which can be made simple”.Less complication=simplicity.

I think it was Albert Einstein who said, “Everything should be made simple, but not simpler”

I haven’t been much of a conformist for many years. I’ve mostly just ignored the ‘status quo’ and we’ve chosen our own path. It’s been a freeing experience.

I believe we are all in control of our lives! As a fitness trainer and holistic coach, I believe our environments and the company we keep has a great impact on our lives and health. The article says we decide what to keep and get rid of. I think we should keep positivity in our lives and get rid of all of the negativity.
