The Simple Year

Welcome to a new episode of the Midway Simplicity Show 2014!

This year, I will invite top simplicity advocates to talk about how to live simply with intense passion. We will take it beyond decluttering, and share everything you need to know about what makes life meaningful, simple and fulfilling.

Today’s interview is with Kandice Bridges from The Simple Year. Kandice is the winner of the Simplicity Blog of The Year 2013 contest. Her blog is full of great insights on living a meaningful, simple life. That’s why her audience love her so much and gave her the highest number of votes.

really enjoyed this one, mohamed and kandice – thank you for sharing! thoughtful, reflective, creative, inspiring. am going through my own process, more because my sons are about to graduate from college, my life will be my own, i want to move, travel – and have tons of books (veerrrrrrrry hard for me to give those up – like giving blood – and i HATE e-books), and am relearning and -defining myself, what i want to do with the rest of my life, where, how. any chance of finding someone on a similar path to interview, mohamed? thank you!

I will check Olga. And if you found anyone let me know and I will try to interview him/her. You can also check the Midway Decluttering Show library for relevant interviews on decluttering. One last thing, have you checked the webinar on finding your passion?

As usual, this was an interesting interview. I liked Kandice’s insight on how we mindlessly accumulate stuff but then are paralyzed by the “mindfulness” of getting rid of it. That’s a terrible dilemma for recovering hoarders, but I didn’t realize it affects “normal” people.

I loved Kandice’s parting words of wisdom: take it one box, one drawer, at a time. Thanks for sharing this video!
